Camphor is a naturally occurring, semi-solid, crystalline substance with a minty aroma. It is found in the wood of the camphor tree, a large evergreen tree native to Asia (particularly Borneo, from which it takes its alternate name, "Borneo Tree"), and in some other trees in the Lauraceae family.
