Salvia apiana is a subshrub species belonging to the Lamiaceae family. Also known as white sage, bee sage, or sacred sage, it is an evergreen perennial shrub native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, primarily found in coastal sage scrub in Southern California and Baja California, and on the western fringes of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts.
